How to play
One person holds the phone. Everyone else shouts.
- Tap the wheel. It lands on a letter.
- Shout everything in the category that starts with that letter. They all count.
- Whoever has the phone types in what the group agrees on.
- Spin again. Keep going to the end of the round.
Land on A in Animals and shout Ant, Alligator, Ape, Albatross — that is four points, not one.
Three ways to play
Pick a mode where you pick the category. Each keeps its own records.
Relaxed. No clock. Fifteen letters at your own pace. Name at least one thing per letter to spin again. Start here.
Blitz. Beat the clock — two, three, five or ten minutes. Skip any letter you can't crack. Most answers wins.
Full sweep. All fifteen letters as fast as you can. No skipping. Each hint adds thirty seconds. Fastest time wins.
Take turns, or all shout at once — your choice. The game keeps one score for the table.
Clues and hints
These are two different things, and only one of them costs you anything.
A clue usually appears the moment the letter lands: one line describing an answer, and how many letters it has. It is free, it arrives on its own, and it is there to get people talking before anyone has thought of a word. Some categories have no clues written yet, so nothing appears.
A hint is help with one word. Tap Hint: that spends one, and a word opens in the answer box — the letters uncovered so far, and a dash for each one still hidden, so the length is there to see. The wheel already gave away the first letter, so the first tap shows the second. The button becomes Show letter, and every letter after that is free — keep tapping and the whole word ends up in the box. Start typing and the dashes clear out of the way. Finish it by hand, say it into the mic, or enter it as it is; it counts either way. Five hints to start, up to ten a round with the + button. In Full sweep each hint adds thirty seconds, however many letters it ends up showing.
Out of hints on a letter nobody can answer? End the round and see the answers. A round you end early doesn't go into your records.
The game keeps score. You make the calls.
It catches a wrong first letter and repeats. Everything else it accepts — it doesn't know every animal or every movie, and rejecting real answers would be worse. Never heard of an answer? Look it up together and decide as a group. The arguing is half the fun.
At the end
Your score, your top three for that category and mode, and every answer the game had for your letters — with yours ticked.
You also get a round code. Send it to someone and they play the identical round, so the scores compare.
What it costs, and what it needs
Nothing to download and nothing to sign up for. Open it in a browser and play. Add it to your home screen if you like — it works without a signal either way: the wheel, every category, hints, scores and the word guides all live on your phone. Only the microphone needs a connection; it will say so, and you can type instead. Open the game once while you have a signal so it has a copy to keep.
