How to play
Someone holds the phone. Everyone else shouts.

Never heard of it?
Every name in this category has a line saying what it actually is.
Land on A in Animals and shout Ant, Alligator, Ape, Albatross — that is four points, not one.
Three ways to play
Relaxed. No clock. Fifteen letters at your own pace. Name at least one thing per letter to spin again.
Blitz. Beat the clock. Skip any letter you can’t crack. Most answers wins.
Full sweep. All fifteen letters as fast as you can. No skipping. Each hint adds thirty seconds. Fastest time wins.
Take turns, or all shout at once — your choice. The game keeps one score for the table.
Clues and hints
When the letter lands you usually get a clue straight away — one line describing an answer, and how many letters it has. The clue is free.
Still stuck? Tap Hint. That spends one hint and opens a word in the answer box — the letters so far, and a dash for each one still hidden, so you can see how long it is. The wheel already gave you the first letter, so the first tap shows you the second. The button becomes Show letter, and every letter after that is free — keep tapping and the whole word ends up in the box. Start typing and the dashes clear out of the way. Finish it by hand, say it into the mic, or just enter it: it counts either way. Five hints to start, up to ten a round with the + button.
Some categories have no clues written yet. Hint still works there: the first tap picks a word and shows its first letter.
Out of hints on a letter nobody can answer? End the round and see the answers. A round you end early doesn’t go into your records.
The game keeps score. You make the calls.
It catches a wrong first letter and repeats. Everything else it accepts — it doesn’t know every animal or every movie. Never heard of an answer? Look it up together and decide as a group.
At the end you see your score, your top three for this category and mode, and every answer the game had for your letters — with yours ticked.
Nothing you type leaves your phone.

Animals
————
They play the same category, the same letters, the same mode and the same number of hints — so the scores actually compare.
Animals
Any country in the world. Cities and regions do not count. Spin the wheel, and whatever letter it lands on, shout out every country you can think of that starts with it — Argentina, Ecuador and India, all of them count.
A few answers come back with a reason rather than a buzz — “London is a city — the capital of the United Kingdom.” — and those cannot be overridden. Everything else the game accepts, because it has no way of knowing whether an answer is real. That call belongs to the room.
There are plenty more out there, but here is the list of country names the game runs on. It opens in a new tab, so a round in progress stays put.
Also in French, in Spanish and in Korean: 초성게임 (Choseong Game), the same wheel spinning 초성 instead of letters.
