Round it, then judge it

Rounding used to judge, not to compute. $3.95, $6.10 and $4.89, and the receipt says $14.94 — about right, or wrong? Is $29 enough for three things at $9.95? Is 21 × 48 closer to 1,000 or to 1,500?

There is no fuzzy marking here and no tolerance band to argue about. Each question either names the rounding, so the estimate is one specific number, or asks for a judgement you tap. The reveal always shows the exact figure beside the estimate, so you see how close “close enough” was — and in the grown-up questions, why the price ends in .99 in the first place. A $19.99 subscription is about $240 a year.

Coro — chorus. Everyone gets to play.
